Answer: If you are heading towards Bedford, Burlington, 128 etc.
the worst morning traffic confusion appears to be between our Exit
#33 and Exit #29 (route #129). By taking the route suggested below
to get as far as Chelmsford Center, many other options become available
to you to continue your commute.
At
the end of Scotty Hollow Drive, go LEFT and take a fast RIGHT onto
Lynn Ave. At the end of this very short street (at the cemetery),
go RIGHT onto Main Street. Go approx. 1 mile and take a LEFT onto
School Street. Go 1.2 miles on School Street going through a "four
way stop" intersection until you arrive at small store. Turn
LEFT onto Old Westford Road and fast RIGHT after the Engine #3 Fire
Station onto Westford St. Go 1.9 miles to Chelmsford Center.
If
you continue through Chelmsford Center, past the Public Library
and follow Route #4 SOUTH towards Billerica and Bedford, after 4
miles you will pass the West Billerica Fire Station on your left.
Turn LEFT IMMEDIATELY after the fire station. This is Treble Cove
Road which will take you back to Route #3 (approx. 1 mile). You
are now beyond the usually bad traffic spot and should be able to
continue your commute on Route #3.
ALSO,
DON"T FORGET TO ASK YOUR NEIGHBORS! Regular commuters have
many alternative routes all worked out. Some even have several routes
worked out depending on conditions and traffic advisories. Good
luck and have a safe trip!
